#ThankfulThursday and today, I’m #grateful to provide a Pippi update! Thanks to those who’ve asked how she’s doing!! Yes, we’ve heard “you couldn’t pay me enough to adopt a puppy!” and can attest to the fact that there’ve been wee hours in the morning with the multiple backyard visits required to transition from puppy to dog that I’ve wondered about our wisdom in bringing a puppy this age into our household for the first time in three decades (our interim rescues were all older than Pippi at joining the family). So, in no particular order, there’s the mellow version, the “I love playing in the rain” version, and the endearing shot of her with an arm thrown around her pal (although you need to know that the average lifespan of this wonderful lamb from Elder's Ace Hardware is approximately 36 hours…so we’ve decided that needs to be a rare treat!). Suffice it to say, all the realities of puppyhood are leading to what we hope results in having raised a “good dog.” Each day brings both challenges and the immense rewards associated with seeing unconditional love in action… If you’re unfamiliar with it, I highly recommend giving a listen to the song penned and performed by Curtis Salgado and Alan Hager (2018): entitled “I Want My Dog to Live Longer (The Greatest Wish) https://lnkd.in/eDCYjKa5
