CEO at BASE Foundation

Thank you very much to the Embassy of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain and Ambassador Arthur Mattli for the kind recognition and visibility given to BASE Foundation on the occasion of the Zayed Sustainability Prize. This award reflects years of collective effort by the BASE team and underscores the power of innovative business models and financing strategies to mobilize investment and drive behavioral change. We are grateful for the continued support and collaboration of SECO Economic Cooperation and Development and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, which have contributed in different ways to advancing BASE’s broader work. Founded in 2001 with the initial support of the Kanton Basel-Stadt, BASE operates as an independent, specialised non-profit organisation, dedicated to translating expertise into practical, scalable, and sustainable solutions. In an increasingly complex geopolitical context and under growing budgetary constraints, we firmly believe that sustainability objectives can be advanced both domestically and internationally by leveraging strong capabilities in innovative business models and financing strategies. BASE is proudly Swiss, and we remain committed to contributing our expertise to support a more sustainable, resilient, and future-oriented economy.
