As a Non-Executive Director of AutismAwareness Australia, Charlie also shares his personal connection to the sector. In this short clip, Kristy explains how SDA is helping provide people living with severe and permanent disabilities with greater choice and independence. Reflecting on the period before the NDIS, Kristy notes that "there was no opportunity for people to really choose", with many people living in hospital beds or young people under 40 living in nursing homes.
