We were honoured to welcome Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and his delegation onboard Tauranga Maersk during the vessel's recent call in the Port of Vancouver, where they met with our crew and exchanged perspectives on supporting Filipino seafarers 🇵🇭 With close to 4,500 Filipino seafarers serving across our global fleet, we are committed to fostering a workplace built on inclusion, respect and opportunity at sea. We continue to invest in initiatives that support our people throughout their careers, including: 🤲🏽 Promoting diversity and inclusion, including programs that encourage greater gender diversity at sea. Today, women represent 5.2% of our Filipino seafarer workforce, significantly above the industry average. 🚀 Creating structured career pathways to help grow and advance in the maritime industry 🫶🏽 Supporting physical and mental well-being through dedicated health programs and resources for seafarers and their families. 💪🏽 Providing training, upskilling and knowledge-sharing opportunities to strengthen capabilities across all ranks. We thank Secretary Cacdac and the DMW team for the meaningful dialogue and their unwavering commitment to the welfare of Filipino seafarers🩵 #Seafarers #LifeatSea #Philippines #Maersk
