Manager in Offshore Energy Sector

Having been involved in #PolishOffshore development in for nearly 20 years, I have witnessed how dramatically the conversation has evolved. In the early days, we were fighting for the first regulations, the first permits and, above all, the belief that #offshorewind could become a reality in Poland. Back then, even national ambitions measured in a few gigawatts seemed highly ambitious. The idea that a single company could one day manage an offshore portfolio approaching 6 GW would have sounded unrealistic 😱. This is also why our industry naturally adopted a project-by-project mindset. We focused on delivering the next project because the future of the market itself was still uncertain. Today, offshore wind is no longer a vision, a test or an experiment. It is becoming a strategic pillar of both the Polish and European economy. That changes the conversation. The challenge is no longer how to launch offshore wind. The challenge is how to organise its long-term growth in a way that strengthens competitiveness, security, industrial development and supply chains. In many ways, this may be the most important discussion the sector has had so far. So let's discuss it! Sławomir Staszak, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you will have the opportunity to bring this debate to the WindEurope level. The Baltic region, Central & Eastern Europe and the entire offshore sector would benefit from having these perspectives represented in the conversation about Europe's future. #OffshoreWind #BalticSea #EnergyTransition #IndustrialSovereignty #WindEurope
