Hylke Dijkstra appointed UM Europe Chair 🇪🇺 Prof. Dr. Hylke Dijkstra will join Studio Europa Maastricht as Maastricht University Europe Chair on 1 September 2026. He succeeds the late Professor Mathieu Segers, who passed away in 2023. In this role, Hylke will strengthen UM’s societal impact by connecting Europe-related research with policy-makers and the wider public. He will also provide academic leadership to Studio Europa Maastricht and work with UM Research Fellows from four faculties. “Maastricht is the place in the Netherlands to study Europe,” says Dijkstra. “Students and scholars come from all over the world to our university for that reason.” Read more on his appointment here: https://edu.nl/r7t4x #MaastrichtUniversity #Europe
