€25 million for expansion ETPathfinder Maastricht The Dutch government is investing €25 million to expand ETPathfinder, accelerating the development of next-generation technology for the Einstein Telescope. The upgrade will enable full-scale testing of critical systems and strengthen Europe’s position in gravitational wave research. Led by Nikhef (National Institute for Subatomic Physics) and Maastricht University, the expanded facility will integrate advanced optical, cryogenic, and vacuum technologies. With over 20 international partners, ETPathfinder is becoming a central hub for collaboration, validation, and training in this cutting-edge field.
