Award-winning design for book reimaging Maastricht University’s art collection We’re proud to share that designer and artist Yannick Nuss has won the International Creative Award for Graphic Design for THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM / THIS IS NOT A CATALOGUE, which he created with UM Curator of Arts Barbara Strating. Selected from 1,753 entries, the project earned unanimous recognition for its quality, originality and innovation. The book is an exploration of the art collection of Maastricht University through 77 artworks, set alongside 1,000 film stills and 65 vintage paperbacks—forming a bold, layered narrative. Barbara Strating: “It is a subjective, visual and narrative exploration of Maastricht University’s art collection. It presents the collection as a dynamic, living entity, offering a new perspective by placing it between cinematic images and book titles (free translation).” Congratulations to Yannick Nuss and Barbara Strating for this remarkable recognition of their work.
