Despite months of Israeli forces’ bombardments, ground invasion, and forced displacement orders, many people in southern Lebanon remained - often because they had no means to flee or feared losing their homes and livelihoods. People who stayed now face immense humanitarian and medical needs. Attacks on healthcare, ambulances, and civilian infrastructure have made movement dangerous and restricted access to care. Health facilities have been damaged or forced to close, and fear of attacks has led many to delay or avoid seeking treatment. As people begin returning during the fragile and temporary ceasefire, MSF mobile clinic teams in Sour and surrounding areas are adapting their response, assessing needs and reaching isolated communities. Teams are treating patients with worsening non-communicable diseases due to interrupted care, alongside growing mental health needs. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dep3gp_w
