Jan Bussels used a buy-and-build strategy to grow Digitopia - dgtgroup from a single screen in his attic in Belgium to €50 million in turnover and offices spread across the Benelux area. After seeing his EBITDA, PwC Belgium recommended selling, and suddenly, Jan’s whole world changed… “We didn’t know we were so profitable in an M&A sense,” he admits. “You read a lot of things about valuations of companies being important, but the bottom line is just one aspect.
