Communication and Business Leader

Executive communications is not for everyone. I mean that as a compliment to the people who do it well. To be effective in this work, you have to be willing to tell a senior leader, someone with more title, more tenure, and more confidence, that their message is off, their story doesn't land, or they're about to walk into a room they're not prepared for. You have to say it directly. Respectfully. Without flinching. Then sit with the discomfort while they decide whether to trust you. I've had those moments with some of the most senior leaders in tech. The feedback went both ways. And in those exchanges, I developed teflon skin. What I know is this: the leaders who are truly exceptional don't want a yes person in the room. They want someone who will tell them what's real. That dynamic, built on honesty rather than hierarchy, is where the best communication work happens. Thick skin required. Worth every uncomfortable moment. #ExecutiveCommunications #LeadershipDevelopment #Comms #TruthTeller
