Huge congratulations to Francesca Robinson, Lyfta Lead at St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, for winning a Silver Pearson National Teaching Award for Teacher of the Year in a Primary School. 🥈 We were honoured to support the award submission, which recognised Fran’s inspiring work with Lyfta across Watergrove Trust, including the impact at St Mary’s. Our latest Lyfta case study explores how St Mary’s has embedded a whole-school Lyfta routine to strengthen wellbeing, self-regulation and oracy. From Monday morning Lyfta Time to midweek check-ins and reflective conversations, children are using human stories to name emotions, build empathy, ask thoughtful questions and make meaningful connections beyond their own experiences. The impact at St Mary’s is a powerful reminder of what can happen when immersive storytelling is woven into school life with care, consistency and purpose. Congratulations Fran and thank you to the whole St Mary’s team for showing what relational, reflective learning can look like in practice.
