What if your mobile network could learn to consume less energy without you ever noticing? That's exactly what Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and Orange Luxembourg want to achieve. Our project deploys AI directly into Luxembourg's live mobile network to cut energy consumption by at least 10%, while maintaining full quality of service for users. At the heart of the project: a suite of AI tools that predict mobile traffic, decide when to switch antennas to low-power mode, and manage on-site batteries all in real time, all automatically. Running until 2029, this project positions Luxembourg as a European reference for energy-efficient next-generation mobile networks.
