Hop Update May 2026 – from the Hallertau to Slovenia and the Czech Republic 🌿 The 2026 growing season has started hot and dry across Central Europe – and our latest Crop Development Report sums up where we stand. In the Hallertau: šŸŒ”ļø 15.1 °C average in May – around 3 °C above the long-term mean šŸ”„ 6 heat days above 30 °C – unusually early in the season šŸ’§ Year-to-date precipitation 41.9 % below the long-term average For the first time, our report also looks beyond the Hallertau. In Slovenia, temperatures are tracking the long-term average and crop condition is normal, with mid-May rainfall helping to compensate for a dry April. In the Czech Republic, May was similarly hot and dry, with initial fungicide treatments now needed against primary downy mildew infections. How heat and drought will affect yields and alpha values will become clearer in the coming weeks – we'll keep you posted with regular updates. šŸ‘‰ Full report: https://lnkd.in/d8aH8A_q
