Six researchers. Six ambitious projects. Meet the 2026 Lundbeck Foundation Fellowship recipients. This year's fellows are tackling some of the most pressing challenges in biomedical research, from glioblastoma and viral meningitis to understanding how the brain ages, detects bacterial infections, repairs neurological damage, enables auditory imagination, and facilitates immune cell communication. The Lundbeck Foundation Fellowship provides each researcher with the resources and freedom to pursue their most ambitious ideas. Beyond funding, the programme includes integrated leadership development, preparing this new generation of talented scientist to lead their own research groups and shape the future of Danish biomedical research. Meet the 2026 Fellows and their projects: David Ricardo Quiroga-Martinez: A Neuronal Mechanism for Auditory Imagination Anders Rosendal Korshøj: SENIPERA 2: A randomized clinical trial with a combination of SENIcapoc and Perampanel against newly diagnosed glioblastoma Raphael Ferreira: Multiplexed editing of blood stem cells for targeted treatment of brain disease Naiara Demnitz: Brain fluid mobility in connection with aging: Mechanisms and regulation of preservation of cognitive functions Jacob Bodilsen: Improved treatment of viral meningitis Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi: Decoding bacterial virulence: Diagnostics and prognosis of infection progression (DECODE) Read more about the 2026 Lundbeck Foundation Fellowship here: https://lnkd.in/eHqSECFw
