"Always on my Mind" by Franziska Furter 💥 In her practice, Franziska Furter frequently elevates the visual ephemera of her immediate surroundings. This striking piece continues her playful yet rigorous engagement with the visual vernacular of manga, isolating the standardized depictions of explosions used by manga draftsmen. Surrounded by a dense, textured field of vibrant red, the stark white negative space at the center of the composition creates an immense, almost kinetic visual pull.
