Lessons learnt in 2025🌟 1️⃣ Opportunities are boundless, choose wisely I took on multiple roles across various clubs and projects in 2025. While it was exciting and deeply fulfilling, it was also, at times, overwhelming to juggle everything alongside my academic commitments (thankfully, my grades survived!). I realised I was often a little Kanchiong saying yes to every opportunity that came my way. Ironically, this meant missing out on other opportunities because my capacity was already stretched. This taught me that not every opportunity needs to be taken. The key is choosing those that truly maximise learning and growth. 2️⃣ Life is fragile , make your time count This year, I attended the funerals of three loved ones who played meaningful roles in shaping who I am today. Their passing was a sobering reminder of how precious and unpredictable life can be. It reinforced the importance of spending quality time with family, cherishing relationships, and taking care of my health because without it, we cannot pursue our dreams to the fullest. 3️⃣ The right team turns goals into reality Nothing meaningful is achieved alone. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has worked alongside me this year. Your support, trust, and collaboration made all the difference. I’ve learned so much from each of you and am thankful for the shared journeys and friendships formed along the way. A special shoutout to James Ko, Wong Zhi Yi, Averie Ng, Bernice Lim, Jun Jie Toh, Carmen Leong, Lavine See, Janice Teo. Thank you for staying up late with me to plan events and navigate the curveballs thrown our way. I’m also deeply grateful to the leaders who placed their trust in me to manage and lead these initiatives: Andre Ang, Nadhira Safeel, Misha Rajendran, brendan toh and Elysia Tee. They were patient when I made mistakes and guided me when I faced obstacles or was stuck on a problem. Overall, 2025 has been a deeply fulfilling year of growth, reflection, and learning. I’m excited to carry these lessons forward and step into 2026 with renewed purpose and optimism.
