What a great day in Carrick-on-Shannon on Monday, launching the 2026 SuperValu TidyTowns competition alongside Minister Dara Calleary.   What really stands out here is the level of involvement across the community - you can see the huge amount of work that's gone into strengthening this award-winning town, but more importantly, the number of people behind it. Local businesses, volunteers, schools and community groups all play their part.   A special thanks to our SuperValu retailers - especially Padraig Glancy and the team in Carrick-on-Shannon - for the role they play in supporting their local committees every day.   With over 30,000 volunteers contributing more than 1 million hours each year, the scale of TidyTowns across Ireland is incredible.
