Some bittersweet news: after nearly 5 years, I'm leaving Partiful for a new adventure. To say this has been the ride of a lifetime is an understatement. I started at Partiful a year out of college. I'd tell people I was working on a party app and they'd support me with caution... everyone has an opinion on consumer social, and most of those opinions are "don't." Yes, the odds are brutal, the playbook doesn't exist, and the graveyard is crowded. But I'm so glad I took the risk anyway. I got to work on every major product launch we've shipped, partnered with everyone from underground rave organizers to big brand activations, and somehow made lookalike contests a thing (apologies). Watching something we built show up in how people actually gather, everywhere, is something I'll never take for granted. What's so special about Partiful — and about working on a product people genuinely love — is that community becomes your friends sending you every meme where Partiful gets a mention, hosts texting you screenshots, strangers giving you feedback. Community becomes the small and big ways people show up for what you're building without ever being asked, and watching the way people have shown up for Partiful over the last few years has been one of the coolest experiences of my life. Shreya and Joy, thank you for believing in me from day one. You taught me that when everything's stacked against you, conviction is the only thing that matters. To the team: I'm leaving confident you'll keep building the product that defines how a generation gathers. Every good party has to end eventually. More soon on what's next.
