What a great way to celebrate the Plant Health Day last Tuesday! It was a pleasure to take part in the inspiring workshop organized by the Competence Centre for Plant Health of Libera Università di Bolzano and Laimburg Research Centre. I had the honour of opening the scientific session with a talk entitled “Plant Health in the Sensor Era”, where I shared some of the exciting activities our Sensing Technologies Lab is carrying out within the Competence Centre for Plant Health framework, also in collaboration with Laimburg Research Centre. A big thank you to Luigimaria Borruso and Hannes Schuler for organizing such a stimulating event, and to Sahira Vásquez Báez, PhD, Michele Gullino, Sundus Riaz, Pietro Ibba, and many others for the work. It was also especially nice to spend the morning also with Ulrike Tappeiner— the first time I had seen her as "simple" seminar attendee — Tanja Mimmo and Carmen Büttner, who also captured these lovely photos. Events like this really remind me how exciting and interdisciplinary the future of plant health research is becoming 🌱 Facoltà di Ingegneria NOI Techpark
