Closing my #TokyoExperience for the week, we have witnessed how #maritime is: - embracing #AIAgents, - implementing cross-corporations #collaboration on target projects, and - recognising that quality of data and standardisation of the #interoperability between systems across the maritime supply chain are all key to reach new levels of effectiveness only possible via digitalisation. AI Agents are the new way to #augmenthumans and accelerate the #transformation. Technology development speed and adoption in maritime is faster than regulation … and cannot be stopped. The kind of data that will be usable to transform the industry is yet to be created. Standards of collaboration could be devised. Transforming our work styles is mandatory. Standards to support an operational data sharing model are required. Standardisation is the best way to scale AI Applications in the industry responsibly. Collaboration at multinational level, driven by multi stakeholders input is required. Interesting conversation today at Smart Maritime Network Tokyo 2025 Conference. Lots of work advanced at corporation and niche cross-collaborations level … lots of work to instigate at multinational level… And good examples to take from the way the satellite commmunication industry has managed to co-work to create the technology that could be applied by the whole world fleet! An exemplar of interoperability in practice that maritime industry could consider to replicate. Thanks Cathy Hodge san and Rob O'Dwyer san for putting all this together once more!
