Component MRO has changed. Michael Sandstede, our managing director for Closed Loop in the Americas, believes the industry is still using outdated concepts to understand it. The real challenge is no longer repair speed or capacity. It's orchestration. Parts often aren't missing. They're trapped in the wrong geography, delayed in customs, waiting for approvals, or immobilized by decision latency. Scarcity has become a problem of flow. Michael's view: The future doesn't belong to the fastest repair shops. It belongs to the best orchestrators of component availability. That's why we're shifting our focus: ◊ Expanding internal capabilities to reduce external dependencies — more local capacity, DER repair development, strategic use of USM ◊ Building regional resilience platforms like our expansion of Lufthansa Technik Component Services in Tulsa to bring solutions closer to customer demand ◊ Investing in connected digital infrastructure that turns data into faster, smarter decisions ◊ Treating speed of decision as critical as speed of repair Because availability keeps aircraft flying. And that's what enables airlines to connect people, cultures, and economies. Read Michael's full perspective here: https://lnkd.in/e2QB-zR4 #LufthansaTechnik #keepyouflying
