Our colleagues from Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines had the pleasure of hosting three of Lufthansa Technik’s top executives for a special visit to the training center. Dr. Janna Schumacher, Chief Human Resources Officer of Lufthansa Technik AG, was joined by Mr. Harald Gloy, Chief Operating Officer of Lufthansa Technik, and Mr. Holger Beck, President & CEO of Lufthansa Technik Philippines. The visit began with a guided walk‑through of Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines’ training facilities, where the executives saw first-hand the practical mock‑up trainers used by trainees to sharpen their technical skills. These training tools replicate real aircraft systems, equipping future aviation professionals with the confidence and competence they need before stepping into live maintenance operations. The program continued with a presentation highlighting Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines’ commitment to staying at the forefront of technical training for the next generation of aviation personnel. A key feature was the unveiling of Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines’ reactivated A380 training product, enhanced with new technological innovations through LEVO, our web‑based e‑learning platform. This first‑of‑its‑kind A380 program addresses current training challenges by introducing advanced tools such as the Onboard Maintenance System and a practical exercises simulator, bridging the gap between classroom learning and hands‑on experience. The visit concluded on a warm and festive note with a classic Filipino‑style merienda, featuring local delicacies such as suman, sapin‑sapin, and lumpiang ubod. The entire Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines family came together to make the gathering lively and memorable - a fitting close to a visit that celebrated both innovation and camaraderie.
