From classroom concepts to CEO pitches. ✈️ For the past two months, students from the TUM School of Management and mentors from across the Lufthansa Group have been working side by side on strategic projects, bringing together academic perspectives and real-world business experience. This unique collaboration gives students the opportunity to work on real business challenges alongside Lufthansa Group employees, gaining hands-on insights into the aviation industry while building meaningful connections across our business units. They presented their final pitches in front of Lufthansa Group CEO Carsten Spohr, their professors, mentors, and Lufthansa Group representatives at the Lufthansa Flight Operations Center (FOC) in Munich. The day began with a panel discussion featuring colleagues from Group Strategy, Fleet Management, and Brand & Customer Experience at Lufthansa, who shared insights into their daily work and career journeys. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about our ProTeam Trainee Programme and connect directly with one of our trainees, Johanna. Before the main event, participants explored Lufthansa’s technical facilities in Munich, including a close-up look at the Airbus A380 in Lufthansa’s special 100-year anniversary livery. During the final pitch session, each team had five minutes to present the results of two months of hard work before answering questions from Carsten Spohr and the audience. The creativity, depth of thought, and quality of the ideas presented were truly inspiring. To recognise these outstanding achievements, three Golden Tickets for an internship in Lufthansa Group Corporate Strategy and one Fast Lane Ticket for a direct invitation to the ProTeam Trainee Assessment Center were awarded. A huge thank you to all students, mentors, professors, colleagues, and organizers who made this event possible. We are proud of this partnership with TUM and excited to see the next generation of talent shaping the future of aviation. 🩵 A special thank you to our partners at TUM: Maximilian Blaschke, Lubna Al-Duri and Markus Andreas Frank And a big thank you to our colleague who made this event possible: Nicolas T.
