Over the past few days, the LUC team has enjoyed attending and sponsoring the National Landscapes Annual Conference 2026 at the University of East Anglia. šŸ™Œ šŸ‘‰ Lizzie Bushby, Alice Knight, Olivia Dunham The conference brought together National Landscapes, National Parks, local authorities, environmental organisations and consultants from across the UK to explore this year's theme, Vitality of Place. Over three days, our team enjoyed a packed programme of discussions, workshops and field visits, covering topics including housing delivery, nationally significant infrastructure projects, climate resilience, nature recovery and the future of protected landscapes. It was particularly valuable to reconnect with clients and collaborators, meet new contacts from across the protected landscapes sector, and hear first-hand about the opportunities and challenges facing some of the UK's most special places. Our stand sparked plenty of conversations about LUC's work supporting protected landscapes over the past 60 years, while our interactive activity invited delegates to share what brings vitality to a landscape. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, and to the National Landscapes Association team for organising such an engaging and thought-provoking event. We're looking forward to continuing many of the conversations that started in Norwich. šŸ“ø A few highlights from the conference below. #NationalLandscapes #VitalityOfPlace #LandscapeArchitecture #LandscapePlanning #EnvironmentalPlanning #ProtectedLandscapes #NatureRecovery
