Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region met Sir Charlie Mayfield earlier today, author of the Government’s Keep Britain Working review and co-chair of a Vanguard task force set up to look at how employers can support people with health conditions to remain in the workforce. The Combined Authority will work alongside Government and local employers to help develop and refine workplace health approaches over the next three years to build the evidence base for what works. With Government we’ll be undertaking some engagement sessions with City Region employers over the next few months, primary working with employers signed up to the Fair Employment Charter.
