Today the Eurovignette system ends in the Netherlands The flat annual fee has now been replaced by pay by kilometre model from 1 July 2026. This is collected by onboard units installed in heavy goods vehicles. This means for UK imports and exports, every movement through key gateways such as Rotterdam, Antwerp and the wider Benelux corridor now carries a direct per-kilometre cost A few important things to understand: ✅ Charges vary depending on vehicle weight and emissions rating. ✅ Modern, lower-emission fleets benefit from lower charges. ✅ Older, higher-emission vehicles face significantly higher costs. For carriers operating older fleets, these additional costs will inevitably feed through into transport pricing. Businesses working with modern, Euro 6-standard fleets are likely to see a far more manageable impact. At LPI Worldwide, we're already helping customers understand how these changes affect their supply chains and ensuring they continue to move freight across Europe efficiently and competitively. If your business relies on European transport, now is the time to review your routes, carriers and costs before these changes begin appearing on invoices. #Logistics #SupplyChain #RoadTransport #EuropeanLogistics #FreightForwarding #ImportExport #Netherlands #Transport
