Last week, President Mark C. Reed joined leaders from other Jesuit colleges and universities for an audience with Pope Leo XIV. Reed presented the pope a statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola, calling the experience a “true privilege.” Fr. Thomas Neitzke, S.J., senior vice president and assistant to President Reed, shared with Pope Leo a collection of archival materials from the Women and Leadership Archives, documenting his mother’s college career at Mundelein College in the 1930s.
