Sometimes, getting “crapped on” turns out to be a blessing in disguise! For those following my journey, you know I’ve had my share of challenges, but this story is about one of the best things to come from a messy moment. Back in December 2023, we saw a post about two white Pekingese dogs that had been dumped at a shelter. At the time, I already had Daisy, my beloved Pekingese, who was older and not in the best health. I wasn’t looking for another dog. But while shopping with my daughter Jamie, we couldn’t stop talking about those two pups. We decided that if the shelter was within 5 miles, we’d go take a look. Well, you can probably guess what happened next. We ended up at the shelter, and one of those dogs—Maizy—managed to step in poop… which then ended up on me. But in the end, that messy moment brought Maizy into our family, and she has been one of the greatest blessings we could have asked for. Sometimes, the best things in life come from unexpected (and messy) places.
