I’m a PR consultant, helping founders build their companies’ reputations
⛔⛔⛔Sometimes a brand does something which stops you in your tracks. Morrisons did exactly this yesterday. Like many others, I don’t tend to look at till receipts. So, following a trip to the retailer I was about to throw mine away, when something caught my eye. A small, powerful message at the bottom of the receipt. It says “Help is available, if you are experiencing domestic abuse call Refuge’s National Domestic Abuse Helpline…..” Then goes on to provide the number... Wow …what a fantastic thing!❣️ What an amazing bit of audience insight, understanding and then communication. Because who’s likely to be poring over their till receipt? Well, a key group will be people who are fearful that they’re about to go home to a partner who may become violently angry about how much they’ve spent. Thankfully, this won’t be the majority of Morrisons customers, but for those who are helped by this message, it is surely a moment of audience understanding and communication which could be life saving. Bravo Morrisons #communications #audience #domesticviolence
