Coming in as Second Runner-Up at BrainHack CDDC 2026 Finals this 10 to 11 June was certainly not on my bingo card for 2026. Few months ago, I signed up for BrainHack CDDC 2026 with Lim Jun Yi, Xavier and Aqmal Zulkifli under the team name LARPers. My teammates came from an information security course and actually knew what they were doing, while I was the only one truly LARPing as a CS kid with zero CTF experience. Two days later, we walked away as Second Runner-Up. Still not sure how that happened. Shoutout to the team for carrying a CS guy to a podium and my friends who supported me during the competition.
