🚛⚡ Wave 2 of Electric Trucks Successfully Deployed in Best, NL! ⚡🚛   We’re charging ahead! After launching our first wave of 5 electric trucks last year and completing the electric truck charging plaza in May, the Integrated Warehousing & Distribution team has now expanded our zero-emission logistics operation. 🌱   In June, our logistics partner Einride began servicing regional suppliers with electric vehicles. And now in August, we’ve added 3 more electric trucks and 3 Philips-branded trailers to the fleet — bringing us to a total of 8 electric trucks and 14 branded trailers! 💪 🌍 The impact? Wave 1 reduced Scope 3 CO₂ emissions by ~115 tons annually. Wave 2 will save an additional 63 tons per year, with trucks driving up to 385 km per workday! 🚚 The new trucks — eActros 600 by Mercedes-Benz Trucks (2025 International Truck of the Year - eActros 600 | Mercedes-Benz Trucks) — are built for long distances: 500 km on a single charge, and 20% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. ⚡ 📊 Fun fact: 0.5% of all electric heavy trucks in the Netherlands - Nederland are now driving for Philips! 🇳🇱 ✨ I’m incredibly proud to have co-led this project together with Vishesh Sawhney Nico Mutsaers and Julian Scholten — with heartfelt thanks to our internal sponsors for their unwavering support.
