I'm proud to share that my father, Richard Cocco Jr., CEO of E. & O. Mari / La Bella Strings, was recently featured in the NAMM Oral History Program. For more than 50 years, Richard has helped guide our family business through an incredible period of change and growth, carrying forward a string-making tradition that traces its roots to 17th-century Italy and continues today through La Bella Strings. His interview captures not only the history of our company, but also the evolution of string manufacturing, the musicians and innovators we've had the privilege to work with, and the importance of preserving craftsmanship while embracing new technologies. As the fourth generation of our family involved in the business, I especially enjoyed hearing stories that span from our early days making gut strings in New York to developing products for modern musicians around the world. Thank you to the NAMM Oral History Program for preserving the stories of the people and companies that have helped shape the music products industry. The collection now includes thousands of interviews documenting the history of our industry for future generations.
