👥 Meet Daniel Ruth, Head of LI Operations & Quality From studying Motorsport Management at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David to leading key operational functions, Daniel’s journey into freight forwarding is anything but conventional. After graduating and travelling across Australia, he returned to the UK in 2010 and began his career in freight forwarding—quickly realising where his interests (and strengths) truly lay. In 2011, he joined ViaMat International, later becoming part of Loomis International in 2014, and has since built an impressive career across the business. Having held roles including Operations Clerk, Supervisor, Co-ordinator, and Risk & Loss Prevention Manager (Europe), Daniel now leads Operations & Quality. His experience spans multiple departments, including Storage, Sales, Compliance, and Finance—giving him a truly well-rounded view of the business. While not client-facing, Daniel thrives behind the scenes—bringing teams together across the global network, solving complex challenges, and ensuring a unified voice across operations. His focus is on driving best practices, getting the best out of both people and systems, and maintaining excellence across all operational processes. Outside of work, Daniel is a former club motorcycle racing champion with two titles to his name.
