After almost 38 years at P&G, you'd think I'd have all the answers. But lunch with some young talents in Germany last week made me realize that I don't. And that's actually a good thing. We sat down together without a formal agenda and had an open conversation about what it really means to put the consumer first. These young colleagues think social-first by instinct, not by strategy. And they push back when something feels too far removed from the real consumer. That kind of directness keeps you sharp, no matter how many years you've been in the business. Two things I'll take with me from that table: the reminder that data tells you what, but a real human conversation tells you why. And that the energy of people early in their careers is one of the most underrated sources of insight in any organization.
