In fashion, we tend to picture two camps: those who create, and those who finance. Jean-Jacques Picart was never either. For half a century, he recognised talent before anyone else, then carried it. Thierry Mugler, Christian Lacroix, Hedi Slimane — and even Bernard Arnault, whom he advised for twenty-seven years. A "light" he says he sees settling on certain people, which he then put to the test through what amounted to real investigation: values, roots, the kind of anchor that lets a gift flourish over time instead of breaking apart. He now claims the times are slipping past him. We don't believe it for a second: he reads the era better than those who make it. Because the real talent in this story is him. šŸ“° New portrait, now live https://lnkd.in/e83Qs8Qe 🪶 Lucia Lagarrigue-Aumonier šŸ“ø Jean-Jacques Picart par Gilles-Marie Zimmermann pour Barbara Bui / Archives personnelles
