Much of our highway system in the United States was constructed over 50 years ago. With many of these roads reaching the end of their design life, we have a once-in-lifetime opportunity to rebuild better.  Historically, the convention of designing urban infrastructure for cars over people has led to the fragmentation of cities, undermining the wellbeing and integration of communities.
