But it happens. ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ, ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ? Too often, attention is poured into top performers. Whether weโre conscious of it or not, everyone else gets written off. Not because they lack potential, but because theyโre no longer front of mind. In coaching sessions, I regularly encourage leaders to actively gather feedback. Not just from those they trust or the loudest voices. Because it matters to know whatโs being said about you behind boardroom doors. Silence isnโt neutrality. Itโs missed insight. ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐. And it canโt be shaped by your own way of working. Leaders often expect others to operate like them. Same pace. Same motivation. Same drivers. A growth environment is where feedback isnโt saved for appraisals or โdifficult conversations,โ but is part of everyday leadership. Expectations are clear, progress is visible, and development conversations happen early not when itโs too late. This is how organisations create opportunities for growth. Performance improves without fear. People feel invested in rather than assessed.
