How effective is Whatsapp in Leadership Communication? Often, I see many leaders using this tool to communicate. Groups are created and key messages are shared with team members. Emojies are included in messages which highlight 🎉celebrations and success however some can contain frustration and explosion images 😡 to demonstrate non delivery of tasks or deadlines missed. There are many benefits of this quick method of communication especially when looking to reach team members in an emergency or serious contact is required. But should it be used to replace development conversations or when further understanding of missed deadlines are required. Does everyone in the team need to be included when things don't go to plan? Is there a time in the day after which messaging isn’t allowed? Are your messages helping deliver against your teams KPI's and is it driving engagement and motivation? Can it be used to share best practices and new ways of learning and working? There is a time and place when every communication tool has its benefits and impact and that's why we must question and review how we communicate as leaders with our teams. I would love to know your thoughts on using this tool and what your experience has been? Leadership communication is a key theme of my Leadership Coaching and has helped leaders articulate key messages using numerous approaches. Message me for a chat if this is something you would like to know more about. #leadership #communication
