How often have you been directly told or felt pressured to do something that conflicted with your own values, morals and ethics? Do you voice an unpopular opinion in the workplace which is true to your values? We often have a clear sense of the right approach, yet we can hold ourselves back by thinking, “this is just how things are done here,” and doubting whether our ideas would be accepted or even work in practice. We recognise something isn’t right, but hesitate to act because we doubt it will make a difference and worry it could even backfire on us. You may have heard responses like, “that’s above your pay grade” or “that’s not your responsibility.” But these objections are not as fixed as they sound. The question is not just, “what is the right thing to do?” It should be, “how do I say this in a way that will actually land?” This is where Mary C. Gentile and 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 comes into play. It shifts the focus from judgement to action. From knowing… to doing. 💡 Anticipating the pushback before it happens 💡 Reframing objections into conversations 💡 Practising what you will say so you are ready in the moment 💡 Influencing outcomes without damaging relationships It is not about confrontation, whistle blowing or falling on your sword. It is about leading with integrity in a way that is both strategic and effective. Because the leaders who create real change are not always the loudest. They are the ones who know how to navigate the moment, stay grounded in their values, and influence what happens next. So here is the real question: When the moment comes…will you stay silent, or will you be ready to act? Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ePw6DuXu
