We were delighted to contribute to two conversations at the European Medical Device Summit about impactful innovation in a fast-changing, high-stakes industry. Ahmet Tezel, PhD, LivaNova Chief Innovation Officer, (pictured) shared his approach to building high-performing teams that succeed in complex environments. Nickerson Hill, LivaNova Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Research, participated in a panel about evolving regulations that are reshaping quality expectations. One key takeaway: To innovate while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance needs, organizations need strong quality systems with enough flexibility to allow fit-for-purpose risk assessment and decision-making when appropriate.
