Europe's AI future will depend not only on technological breakthroughs, but also on the policies that shape how businesses, workers and societies adapt. 🧠 Last week, Christina Gathmann, Head of LISER’s Labour Market Department, joined Council of the European Union President António Costa and a select group of external experts for a high-level discussion on "Shaping Europe's future: policy strategies for thriving in the AI economy." The roundtable focused on how Europe can seize AI's opportunities while addressing its economic and societal challenges. 🗣️ As Christina reflected after the meeting: "I hope that new initiatives will grow out of it to appropriate the gains from #AI for #Europe by boosting adoption, supporting workers in skill acquisition and investing in a European-based AI infrastructure." 👏 We're proud to see LISER contributing evidence-based research to discussions that will help shape Europe's AI agenda. #ArtificialIntelligence #PublicPolicy #Innovation #FutureOfWork
