Finland is lagging behind the EU average when it comes to how quickly patients can access innovative treatments. Behind every single statistic and every delayed regulatory decision is a real human being who cannot afford to wait. We urgently need to shift our mindset from viewing innovative medicines purely as a short-term budget cost to seeing them as a vital investment in our society’s future health and economic resilience.
