Some committee work is really rewarding and it is great to make a solid contribution. A bare minimum is an attendance, but so much more is involved. These are the committee members from the Urban Futures Portfolio Committee - back in the day when we had dinners. But not everyone showed enthusiasm for this committee. My records indicate the Chair and elected Councillor was not a regular attendee, and I found this to be very troubling and complained on several occasions. We certainly need to be careful in choosing who our elected representatives are.
