(Gen)AI, Disintermediation & Marketing 2030 🚀 What happens when you drop a group of smart FH students into a (Gen)AI-powered marketing future? Today, I had the chance to explore that with a fantastic class at ZHAW Institut für Marketing Management – kicking off with a simple question: What’s actually new about GenAI? (Not just another automation wave… but a real shift in who owns the customer interface.) From there, we traced: → the threat of disintermediation (again – just like in the early internet days) → AI’s impact across four core dimensions: Efficiency, Insights, Personalization, Responsibility → and what it takes to navigate this space consciously and creatively in marketing. 💡 My favorite moment? Watching students flip a standard customer journey into a (Gen)AI-augmented one – and reflect on how me might have to question traditional concepts when we try and bring AI into the space! 🤖Let’s just say: the future of marketing is not for the faint of heart – but with the right mindset and critical tools, it’s a playground for the brave. 🙏🏼Thanks for having me, Steffen Mueller.
