Truly wonderful to be at the House of Lords today, meeting with The Lord Bishop of Gloucester, Rachel Treweek, Bob Wilson from the Welcome Directory and Jezz Wright, Head of Broadcasting for WayOutTV, the worlds ONLY National Prison Broadcasting TV network. Great to hear Jezz Wright M.Ed casting the vision for the future of digital broadcasting in prisons, improving wellbeing and hope for prisoners across the UK. What a privilege to be on this journey with some truly inspiring people, each of us playing our part in representing those that can’t represent themselves. A massive shout out to all the other organisations and charities that passionately serve those in prisons, including all the wonderful chaplains and volunteers. ISAIAH 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.
