🟢⚫ Lions IHC – Back-to-Back Champions! ⚫🟢 What a weekend. What a journey. What a team. The Lions Senior Team are officially BACK-TO-BACK UKIHF West League Champions! 🏆🏆 After a challenging season that saw us lose key players following a hugely successful 2024/2025 campaign, we came into this year with one goal in mind – pushing for A League qualification. Unfortunately, squad shortages meant we just missed out… but this team doesn’t quit. Instead, we reset the focus 💚 ➡️ Regroup ➡️ Refocus ➡️ Go again Heading into the final league day, the mission was clear: 🟢 3 wins from 3 games needed to take the title ⚫ 🚧 A Day Full of Drama The day didn’t start smoothly… Our netminder was stuck on the motorway due to an overturned truck 🚛❌ Step up Aidan 🟢👏 Coming in clutch from Lions Black (North West C League), he answered the call when it mattered most. 🆚 Game 1 vs T-Wrex A game of two halves! Lions stormed into a 5–0 lead ⚫ But T-Wrex battled back hard. Lions held their nerve and sealed a huge 8–6 win ✅🟢 🆚 Game 2 vs Raptors A dominant performance 💥 A 13–4 victory ✅⚫ Giving us a massive boost in goal difference. 🆚 Final Game vs Hylanders Winner takes all. Lions struck early – just 19 seconds in ⚡🟢 But Hylanders pushed back, taking a 3–1 lead. Then… Lions found another gear 🔥⚫ ➡️ Pulled it back to 4–4 at half time ➡️ Powered through with 6 more goals Final score: 10–7 ✅🟢 🏆⚫ CHAMPIONS. AGAIN. 🟢🏆 Back-to-back West League titles secured 💚 A huge achievement built on resilience, character, and team spirit. 🔜 What’s Next?
