Someone having applied to a job not too late after it being posted, receives a rejection after few weeks which says 👇 "Unfortunately, we cannot consider your application for the position of "xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx" because the position has since been filled." The actual german wording was "Ihre Bewerbung auf die Stelle "xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx” können wir leider nicht berücksichtigen, da die Stelle "zwischenzeitlich besetzt" werden konnte." What does this actually mean? What does "Since been filled" mean. "zwischenzeitlich besetzt" 🤔 Are you kidding me? So this is how it went. Recruiter: Hello guys!! If interested please apply soon. Applicant: Yes! Interested. Applied. Recruiter: Oops... too late. the position is filled before you could apply. We could not even consider your application. It was lightening quick 😳 Seems like a joke. It seems like it was "first come first served basis" Can someone please give me a one word for this situation? I say it is "RIDICULOUS" I raise my voice against unfair recruitment practices. Recruitment should be fair and based on merit, based on how competent the applicant is. I AM CALLING OUT ON ALL THE RECRUITERS WHO INDULGE IN OR ARE PART OF UNFAIR RECRUITMENT. STOP IT NOW. THIS IS UNJUST AND UNETHICAL IN MANY WAYS. I’d really value the perspectives of leaders driving better hiring practices — Wolfgang Brickwedde Katharina Engfer Dr. Nico Rose Gero Hesse Anna Ott Andreas Dittes Marc Wagner Stephan Grabmeier - how can we ensure fair, transparent and respectful recruitment experiences for every candidate? #JobSearch #Hiring #Recruitment #HiringTransparency #CandidateExperience #FairHiring #RecruitmentReform #TalentAcquisition #JobSearchStruggles #MakeHiringHuman #HRCommunity #WorkplaceCulture #GermanyJobs #JobSearchGermany
