Paddy writes: “The older I get, the less interested I become in titles as a proxy for success… what sits beneath the title matters more: the scope of the role, (and) the quality of the problems being solved.” But communications and corporate affairs consultant Ramya Ragupathi notes that her experience has taught her that titles still matter. “Titles matter, especially when you are making a move and your next employer’s talent acquisition team and their AI tools are trying to make sense of your profile.” Are job titles important?
