It was a pleasure to host Professor Georgios A. Sotiriou from Stockholm University and SciLifeLab at UCL Eastman Dental Institute for an inspiring seminar on "Flame-made High-Value Nanoparticles for Biomedicine." Professor Sotiriou shared fascinating insights into how flame aerosol technology can be used to engineer advanced nanomaterials for a wide range of biomedical applications, including rapid diagnostics, antimicrobial technologies, biofilm control, drug delivery, and smart therapeutic platforms. The seminar highlighted the power of combining precision nanoparticle engineering with scalable manufacturing to accelerate the translation of nanomedicine from the laboratory to clinical practice. The discussion generated great interest among researchers and students, particularly in the areas of antimicrobial biomaterials, nanotechnology-enabled healthcare solutions, and translational medicine. A big thank you to Professor Sotiriou for visiting UCL and sharing his cutting-edge research with our community. We look forward to future opportunities for collaboration and scientific exchange. #UCL #EastmanDentalInstitute #Nanomedicine #Biomaterials #Nanotechnology #BiomedicalEngineering #ResearchSeminar #SciLifeLab #StockholmUniversity #TranslationalResearch
